I'm so happy you're here! The most important thing you should know about me is that I truly cherish my role as a wife and a mother. These roles have cultivated a strong desire to preserve moments of motherhood and I am extremely grateful that this love spills over into this business as well. I've had a fascination with photographs my entire life. Nostalgia is one of the most heartwarming feelings for me, and is one I love so much. It is also something I really strive to reveal in my work.
I love serving my clients through documenting such beautiful and unique relationships. The images we create will one day become family heirlooms, and I just adore the thought of them finding their way into the hands of grandchildren as the years pass. I want the images I create to evoke strong feelings each time my clients and their families look at them.
To me, family is everything and it's my inspiration for all that I do. I'm passionate about helping create a family legacy that will live for generations. Preserving memories with timeless imagery fuels my enthusiasm and creativity. I would love to help craft your story!
"Our sweet baby Bo was born October 21, 2017 and I knew I wanted no one else but Rachel Wells Photography to photograph him (she shot our Baby Shower and Maternity Photos as well) as every photo I have ever seen of hers was simply beautiful. I am very picky when it comes to choosing a photographer, and a newborn photographer was NO exception. I knew exactly what I wanted-something timeless, organic, and natural; Rachel’s portfolio captures all of that and more. When I reached out to her to do our newborn session, I expressed to her that I really wanted an in home shoot that could be done at a place we loved so much, our lake house. Rachel immediately offered to come to our home, 2.5 hours away from her home, away from her family to shoot ours. She was incredible with Bo, even the few times he was hungry or fussy!
There is just something special about her and the way she works with not only babies but mommy and daddy too. I believe it is because she is such a wonderful mother- she was able to make him feel so comfortable and at peace. As a new mom, sometimes we do not feel the best about ourself and she made me feel absolutely beautiful and like I was doing things right. When we received the photos back, they were MORE than I could have ever hoped they'd be. Everyday Bo changes and I love being able to look at these photos and remember this day. I cry tears of joy every time I look at them! She caught some of my favorite expressions Bo makes (including his darling yawn) and I was able to gift Shawn (Bo’s father) the most beautiful canvas’s of Bo and our beautiful family. I am forever grateful for Rachel and these beautiful photos. I think it is even more special we found a photographer who we can depend on for Bo’s special moments in his life. -Whitney Rife"

I offer a custom, curated motherhood photography experience for each of my clients. I fell deeply in love with photographing motherhood after becoming a mother myself. I know from my own experience that this time is so incredibly precious, but fleeting. I am dedicated to setting these moments still with timeless, heirloom portraiture.
My clients have an amazing eye for aesthetics and requirement for quality. I photograph families who truly value the importance of preserving their most cherished relationships through such meaningful images.
There will be so many moments when you’ll just want to remember how it felt when you were waiting and wondering who your child would be. How it felt those first few weeks when you were getting acquainted with each other and they were small enough to be cradled into the nook of your arm.
Our current world is so fast-paced and digital, I believe it is more important than ever to have these tangible memories and heirlooms to hold in your hands and enjoy on your walls everyday. It’s far too easy to stash those flash drives in a drawer or archive those online galleries until the “one day” you may decide to print them.
