25 weeks!!?? Insane. I can’t believe I’m over halfway to meeting my sweet baby! I’m also feeling like 15 weeks is forever away. I’m hormonal.
Anyway, I thought it would be really fun to post some pregnancy updates here and there. I’m going to try to do them weekly, but my main goal is to just update when I feel like things are different than the last week! This one is a bit long since I have almost 6 months to update! Stay tuned for the fun photo shoot at the end…
How far along: 25 weeks. WHAT?!
Baby’s size: He’s the size of a rutabaga…and another app says a head of cauliflower…things are getting weird on the fruit/vegetable comparison front.
Total weight gain: About 12 lbs…as of Friday…so who knows what happened over the weekend.
Name: To be announced! We haven’t decided when we are announcing yet, so stay tuned!
What I’m wearing: Right now I have about 3 shirts and 3 pairs of pants I can wear comfortably. The pants are maternity, but the shirts are just what covers the belly from my pre-pregnancy wardrobe. I desperately need to do a little shopping so I can feel somewhat put together! Other than that, I’m in pjs and yoga pants…which is probably 80% of the time.
Stretch marks: None on the belly yet!
Sleep: I’m sleeping pretty good most of the time even though I’m getting up 2-3 times a night. It’s waking up that has been so difficult lately. Not that I’ve ever been good at that. I’ve been extremely tired the past few weeks so I’ve been indulging in some couch time. It makes me feel so lazy…but it’s awesome.
Best moment of this week: Going to the beach with a big bump! I’m hoping we can make it once or twice more this year… it was so nice!
Miss anything?: Not really…I have told Thad that he will be bringing me sushi in the hospital, but being pregnant is way better than ANYTHING I’ve had to “give up”!
Movement: Lots of movement in the past few weeks! I felt tiny flutters around 16 weeks and I wasn’t quite sure if it was really the baby. Now he’s super active and I can see my belly wiggle when he kicks! It’s definitely the best feeling in the world. Thad started feeling him about three weeks ago which has been so fun!
Foods I’m loving: I haven’t had any major cravings. There for a week or so I loved grapes…from Costco. They had to be the grapes from Costco. Lately I’ve had an obsession with bagels for breakfast. It’s serious- and I finally found some pumpkin spice bagels! I’m going to try not to buy any this week!
Anything making you queasy or sick?: I think I’m free of feeling queasy! The first 16 weeks I just couldn’t eat much and everything sounded gross, but luckily I wasn’t actually sick. My appetite is back and in full force.
How are you feeling?: Other than some frequent headaches (which I’m used to pre-preggo) and being tired all the time, I’ve felt pretty good! I feel like I’ve had a super easy pregnancy and I wasn’t expecting that. I was prepared for the worst and didn’t even care since I just feel so blessed to be pregnant!
Any crazy symptoms?: Nothing too weird to report! I have had major pregnancy brain, but I’ve pretty much always had that. It’s just a lot worse now.
Have you started to show yet: Yes! Finally!! Depending on what I wear, I’ve been showing since 20 weeks, but it’s becoming way more obvious now!
Labor signs: Oh dang…I don’t want those yet! I have been having a few Braxton Hicks contractions which are crazy!
Wedding rings on or off: On!
Happy or moody most of the time: Incredibly happy. I’m pretty much annoyingly happy and only a little moody when I don’t see Thad as much as I want (it’s football season)! I just love being pregnant! Some people might want to punch me after that statement haha.
I’m excited about:
-Going home next weekend! I can’t wait to feel some fall weather and see my fam!
-Starting any kind of progress on the nursery. I will feel accomplished if I can just decide on a paint color. We’ve had two paint swatches on the wall for 4 months and I still can’t decide out of the two. Or if I should go with something else entirely?!
-Nesting. This house needs to see some nesting.
If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading my preggo rambling!! This is a fun way to keep a diary for myself and to update family and friends I don’t get to see often! Here are some photos Thad took today!
Thad likes to capture ALL of the sweet moments in between…he took 137 photos in about 5 min.
